Beautiful book store and doorways in St. Germain.

Loved this antique shop we strolled by on our way to do some shopping. Unfortunately it was closed but we did manage to get this nice shot from the window. Those antique globes are amazing!

Fruits and vegetables at the market. Although we ate out for most meals (with the exception of Daniel making a few delicious breakfasts), we still had fun photographing the various goods in the markets.

We came here for dinner our first night. It’s a French/Moroccan restaurant with the most amazing French Onion Soup and Crème brûlée! The food and service was excellent and the owner was very friendly! We’ll definitely be making this a regular visit when we’re here.

Paris at night. We spent quite a lot of late nights wandering the streets and couldn’t believe how dead it was! No people out after 10pm, but also no restaurants open either. So strange to see in quite a large city. Midnight in Paris is indeed magical!

From the top of Montparnasse. Not sure if you were allowed to bring drinks outside the bar area, but we did anyways and enjoyed the view with a few glasses of wine!

Notre Dame at night. During the first night we decided to walk back to the apartment after dinner instead of getting a taxi. We grabbed a bottle of red wine to go and wandered the streets taking in the sights the which we had all to ourselves at night!

E. Dehillerin has been selling kitchen, cooking and baking supplies in Paris since the 1820′s and has an impressive stock of cooking pots, utensils and pretty much any kind of kitchen gadget you can think of. We had originally come here for an oyster shucker and some copper pots but spent quite a while browsing through their inventory.

E. Dehillerin is located between the 1st and 2nd arrondissement and is a perfect place to visit on a lazy weekend. We suggest stopping by Rue Montorgueil for some crepes or fondue while you’re there!

Coutume Cafe was one of our stops in the St Germain district in Paris. The cafe has been around for a couple of years and we liked the food and coffee so much that we even debated doing back again for brunch or a latte to-go a few times during the trip.

The interior is a nice contrast of modern with rustic elements like raw walls and dark wood flooring.

If you’re looking for a place to eat in Paris, Coutume Cafe is a great spot for brunch or to pick up a coffee and snack. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s been almost a year since we’ve posted a bedroom update and a lot of things have changed since our last bedroom update post. Although we loved our plywood bedside tables and floating cabinets, we decided to go with some new pieces that are great for storage. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the changes:

Teak bedframe and floating bedside tables. Perfect for our books and magazines along with any other bedside necessities.

Tulip base jewelry stand. We love the amount of storage this provides!

We’ve kept some of the old aspects of the room like the plywood flooring and added some new things in as well. There are still a few things we’d love to change but we’re really loving the way the room is coming along so far!
